Welcome to Waukegan Alumnae Chapter

Greetings and Welcome from the Women of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Waukegan Alumnae Chapter.

‘Service is the rent we pay for a room on earth,’

The quote is actually an old quote that many people have said in their own way such as Shirley Chisholm and Marion Wright Edelman.  But no matter how many people have said it the meaning still has weight and applies to our organization.  As Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., moves into our 2nd centennial and Waukegan Alumnae Chapter moves into the second half of its 3rd decade we stand committed, activated and motivated to serving our community.

Following our organization’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust, we support the Lake County area by bringing programs and services in the following areas:

  • Economic Development
  • Educational Development
  • International Awareness and Involvement
  • Physical and Mental Health
  • Political Awareness and Involvement

In alignment with our national theme, Uncompromising Commitment to Communities: Service, Leadership, Empowerment, we pledge to look for new and innovative ways to serve our community, forge new partnerships and collaborate with other organizations to improve and enhance our impact on the community.

If you are a Delta in the area and who is looking for a new chapter home, please join us.

We invite all to visit our website to learn more about our chapter and organization, and take a glance at our photo gallery showcasing WAC in action. Feel free to visit our website often, and contact us if you would like more information about any of our programs.

We would love to hear from you!
